Daughter like Father

Creative Pillow!

The other day as we were finishing up errands Sadie was starting to get a little fussy. She had been good all day as I ran around and as soon as we got to the car she took her paci and crashed! She made a nice little pillow for herself with her arm =0) so smart!

Poor Sadie

Over the past couple of weeks we have had a sick little girl. Poor Sadie started with a runny nose and was being really crabby. I thought it was just her teething until.... her clear runny nose started to turn green YUCK! I called into her doc and sure enough he was OUT OF TOWN! That is the rule right? If your child gets sick your doc will be out of town. UGG so I took her into the insta-care clinic they quickly discovered that Sadie had an ear infection. They gave us 2 prescriptions, one antibiotic and one ear numbing drops, and we were on our way.

Well, Day one on the meds went okay, Sadie was still cranky and not sleeping great. Still not back to sassy Sadie.

Day two lead to a fever of 103.8! I was a little scared at the height of the fever. I called the on call doctor. He proceeded to tell me that, "a fever is a good sign, it means that the body is fighting the infection. If she doesn't improve within 72 hours of beginning the antibiotic bring her back in."

Day three we are back at the doc Sadie still had a fever and decided to stay awake from 2 am- 6 am! (Thank goodness for a fabulous husband who let me go back to sleep because I had to work that day)  Not sleeping well, cranky and ornery! When we took her in they discovered that the infection had not gotten better, but gotten WORSE! Now we were not only dealing with one ear infection but 2! Since the infection was not getting better and had progressed. The doctor ordered up 2 shots of antibiotic for the next 3 days =(

Now Sadie is done with the shots and her regular doc wants to see her back in a week to see how she is doing and to make sure that the infection is GONE! When we went in for her last shots her regular doc saw us walk in and he came up and asked how we were doing and what was going on. I was so happy that I ran into him He is the best doctor I have ever been to, he truly does care about each and every patient and knows us by name! Anyway, He told me that if the infection isn't better when we come to see him we might be looking at getting tubes!  I was shocked when he told me this, because this is the first time Sadie has had an ear infection. He is just worried about the infection not clearing up and causing damage to her ear. So I guess in a week we will see how Sadie is doing and hopefully there will be NO tubes and she will be all better!

Gardner Village

We have this charming little shopping village just a few minutes from our house called Gardner Village. They go ALL OUT for halloween. They have witches everywhere! I wish I would have taken more pictures of all the decorating, but maybe next year I will =) Here are a few of the pictures I did get...

These two are so cute together! 

 I couldn't get Sadie to stop looking at the hoola-hooping witch. She just stared at it and laughed.

 We couldn't get Sadie to look at the camera. She kept getting excited and pointed at all of the decorations showing us where she wanted to go next!

Zoo

Sadie was so much fun at the zoo, she LOVES animals. It was so much fun to watch her face light up as she pointed and squealed at each animal. She barked at most of the animals too, she must know some secret animal language, or she thought they were all dogs. =)

 

This was one of Sadie's favorite animals. These two just sat and stared at each other for several minutes. Finally we had to pull her away so we could move on the the others.

 While we were there we rode the cute merry-go-round. Sadie wasn't so sure what to think of it. Half way through she just wanted us to hold her. I think she was a little scared that she was not only going around in circles, but she was also moving up and down.

 This year at the zoo the have a little baby elephant. Her name is Suri she is the cutest little thing. They have trained her to do some tricks already. This video is a clip of the mom and baby Suri performing for everyone!

 Sadie was a litte worn out, too much fun does that to ya =)

 Our final stop was the train ride around the zoo. Sadie was ready to get in the car and head home for a nap!

Why oh WHY?

Why must my child be so naughty? She is such a sweet little girl most of the time and then... BAM! She goes and does something like this.....



Yes those are teeth marks, made by my child.



Why does she bite? Who taught her this? She has never been around any other kids that bite. But somehow my child is THAT CHILD who picks on the other kids and hurts them! How do I teach her to stop?

15 Months

Sadie had her 15 month Doctor visit today. She is 18.4 pounds which puts her at 2% for her age and gender, and 30.5 inches long which is 52% for her height. She is growing and healthy! Its always nice to go to the Doctor and hear how cute and well behaved your kid is too. Made me smile Ü

At 15 months Sadie is:
Running
Climbing
Knows what she wants
Says: mom, dad, ball, love you, NO, what, muah (kiss), barks when ever she sees a dog,

Next update on Sadie's growth will be in 3 months, she will be 18 months! She is growing up so fast. (I think I say that everytime I post about her Ü)
