Happy Birthday Jake!

What's been going on at our house.

 Sadie likes to curl her hair with mommy everyday.

 We are very interested in the potty and like to sit on it every day.

 She likes to dress herself and has her very own style.

 Loves to get her hair shampooed at moms work.

 Playing dress up with mom's clothes.

 Sitting on the potty some more and guess what on Sunday she actually peed in the potty for the first time!!!!

Possessive

Here is a video I got of Sadie while my parents were in town right after my surgery. Sadie was wanting to sit by Grandpa but did NOT want Grandma to sit by her and Grandpa! She is a little sassy and thinks things should ALWAYS be her way. LOL looks like I have some work to do to get her whipped into shape 8D

Biliary Dyskinesia

These past couple of weeks have been rough, but also a lot of fun. Two weeks ago I went in for surgery and had my gallbladder removed. I had what is called Biliary Dyskinesia, click here to read more. I had began having problems when I was prego with Sadie and I thought that she had just kicked me in my rib and cracked it. Dumb me, a year and a half later and it was still bugging me so I went to she the Doc. Long story short, I was getting surgery. Since I was going to be  "out of commission" for a couple of weeks and couldn't carry my kido my mom came down to stay with us and help out. It was so nice to have "Gamma" here. She cooked, clean, watched Sadie and even helped me reorganize the house! She spoiled us all and now I am sitting here (she left 2 days ago) my house is a mess, dishes need done, and my child is so demanding of my attention because Gamma isn't here to entertain and spoil her =0) Poor Sadie.

Anyway, while my mom was here Sadie started talking like crazy. I know that in her 18 month post I didn't have very many word to put on Sadie's list, I couldn't remember EVERYTHING she says. Mostly because I can't understand what Sadie is saying when she jibber jabbers =0) Now she is saying 3,4,5,6 words at a time!!! Here are a few of the phrases she is now saying:

I don't want to.

I don't think she is here.

18 Months

Holy WOW my little baby girl is 18 months old. It seems like just yesterday she was born. Today we took her to the doctor, she weighed in at 19.6 pounds (2%) and is 31 inches long (37%). Yes she is a little peanut still, but the doctor said he is not at all concerned. He told us she is ahead of the kids her age developmentally. I laughed out loud when he told me, "she will be a very competitive kid, she is very strong willed, and shows that she has a high IQ." She knows her limits and tests them often. =) I guess that Jones blood runs thicker than I thought!

Now that she is 18 months old we have also taken away the paci. This was a hard decision for Jake and I, when she was 9 months old we started only allowing her to have it when she was tired or sleeping and we got so dependent on giving her the paci and letting her fall asleep with it. We have had to over the last week retrain Sadie to go to sleep without it. We have lost some sleep but know it will get better, and Sadie will thank us for it later.

At 18 months Sadie is jibber jabbering constantly, she says:

I can't think of everything she says, but here is a short list.

I know she is saying more when she jabbers but I can't make out what she is saying yet. I am working on it, I guess I just need to listen a little closer.

First Day of Nursery

On Sunday Sadie went to her first day of nursery. I know I have said this 100 times but I can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast. As I dropped her off I gave her a hug and a kiss and told her to be good. She just looked at me and waved goodbye and looked at me like, Mom I will be fine just leave so I can go play and have fun. Hope she always has fun in nursery and hope she doesn't pick up the bad habits and germs that surround that place =)

For the last 10 weeks....

For the last 10 weeks we have visitors, or have been out of town, every week for 10 Weeks straight! We have had a great time with all of our friends and family. Who could ask for anything better! This weekend was the first time we didn't have someone here to hang out with and entertain. Kinda weird. Now we have to adjust back to "normal" life =) The question is who is coming to visit us next?!?
