Baby

Babies are Sadie's favorite right now, she takes this doll EVERYWHERE! She has to hold it to eat, sleep and play. Yesterday after she woke up from her nap I could hear her singing. I went up to her room, when I opened the door she was standing up in her crib rocking her baby and singing to it. She is growing up way to fast. I still think of her as my baby, guess it's time to realize she is a toddler :(

Happy 1st Birthday Baby Girl!

I am in shock that 1 year ago today I had my little baby girl. Sadie has been such a pleasant blessing in our lives. She is always happy, smiling and oh so CUTE! Since most of our family lives everywhere but here she is going to be spoilled with 3 different "parties" I will post pictures soon, after all of the celebrating is done.

We also took Sadie to the doctor and she is 17 pounds (2% for her age) and she is 28.5 inches tall (31% for her age) she is still following the tall and skinny growth pattern. I was reading over the list of this Sadie did at 11 months so I could "update" her 12 months but it looks like she is doing the same things. With the exception of throwing fits! Yes she is throwing fits I don't know where she learned it. She gets so mad she will hit, bite, and throw herself on the ground! I thought that I didn't have to worry about things like this until she was 2. I guess I was WRONG! But we still love her Ü

Purse

Sadie is obsessed with this Easter basket, it has become her "purse". She is hilarious, she puts everything she can in it, and then proceeds to run around giving us everything from inside the basket. I love this little girl. She is becoming so smart.

Someone told me she is considered a toddler now because she is walking, it kinda made me sad to thing that my little baby is growing up!

4th of July

This year for the 4th we stayed close to home, and had a great time. I guess that technically we celebrated on the 3rd because here in Utah they had all the festivities on Saturday instead of Sunday. Sandy City (where we live) had a festival, parade, music, entertainment, and fireworks. We attended the parade and fireworks and we were pleasantly surprised. The parade was honestly the best parade I have ever been to, we sat close to the MC and heard about each float, heard about the organizations and groups. The parade had a good mix of everything... floats, bands, royalty, entertainment, animals, military, cops, and candy!
These kids went around cooling us all down with water.

My favorite of all is the trucks that had "special" suspension. These trucks were climbing each others wheels. So crazy and entertaining to watch.





I want to know how this clown gets on and off his bike!


Sadie's favorite was the cop dogs. She LOVES dogs, she got so excited to see them and kept pointing and talking (babbling) to them.

Chalk Art Festival

This year we went to the Chalk Art Festival at the Gateway. I am always amazed at the talent these people have. Each year there is more than 120 artist, ages 12 and up, The event helps create awaress for the need for foster/adoptive families across the state of Utah, and well as raise funds that help Utah Foster Care Foundation find, train and support foster/adoptive families for Utah's 2600 children in foster care.

I tried to get just a few picture of my favorites, however I ended up with over 20 pictures from the event! Last year I forgot my camera and didn't get any pictures (so this year I guess I was trying to make up for my lack of pictures from the year before)! So here are a few of my favorites from this year...

Nap time

Today we laid Sadie down for a nap, we thought she was fast asleep until we heard little noises coming from here room. Jake went up to check on her and he found an empty box of wipes and an awake Sadie!
