Condo

So we are getting ready to move out of our condo... our first home together (well... besides the studio apartment we lived in when we first got married, but we only lived there for a few months before we moved so that doesn't count right?!? Anyways). I am so excited to move and get into something bigger and newer, but I am also sad to leave our little home. When we first moved in the place was in need of some TLC, and now that we are leaving I am remembering all of the hard work we put into this place. Here are some before and after pictures.  

We got new appliances, new countertops and sink, new lighting, and refinished the cabinets.

Joel

So for those of you who know, about 4 months after Jake and I got married Jake's lil Bro Joel moved in with us, and he lived with us for about a year and a half until he left on his mission (He is serving in the Paraguay Asuncion North Mission).   Since he just recently hit his 1 year mark I have been thinking about him a lot lately, the other day I was going through all of his pictures of his party we had right before he left and thought that some of you might enjoy them as well. Only 11 more months and he will be home!!! Keep up the hard work Joel!

So earlier this summer I posted this picture below that we had taken with the 6 of us (we are all sisters/cousins) and the funny thing is, I was looking at the picture and I realized that we had taken a picture just like it just a few years earlier. Look at how much we have all changed in just a few years. I had been looking for this picture everywhere and my Mommy found it for me! She had it all along and that is why I couldn't find it!

We got the house!

So while Jake and I were at Britt and Bryce's wedding we ended up selling our house, totally didn't expect it to happen so soon but it did. So we have been frantically looking and trying to find something that we "LOVE" but we have been so picky it has been hard. 

We found a town house in Sandy right off a golf corse and we really liked it, but they were asking more than we were willing to spend, however we decided to put in an offer and see what happened. After a couple of counter offers we decided that we didn't want the place due to the money they were wanting out of it. We decided that we would walk away and possibly go and rent for a few months. We were a little bummed. 

So a couple days ago we get a call from our realtor and the sellers called and said that we could put in another offer and they were willing to go lower then they had originally wanted to! I got excited and thought well maybe this will work out!  So we are under contract on this town home and if all goes well we will have a beautiful bigger home!!!! Yeah! I will post pics eventually after we get moved in if everything goes as planned!

Wedding

Amongst all of the chaos these past few weeks, Jake and I were able to make a trip up to Kennewick for Britt and Bryce's wedding! We had a great time and were supper busy the whole time we were there. We didn't get much relaxing in but we did get to spend time with family and see some people that we haven't seen in a long time. 

We got to Washington on Tuesday, and went to the temple with Britt and family that night. Wednesday was full of craziness of trying to get all of the last minute things done (running errand after errand), and then we had Britt's bridal shower that was that night. Thursday was the BIG day I got up at 5:30AM (yeah that is AM!) I did my hair, my mom's Britt's and Jessi's all before 9AM! It was a little busy and crazy but I managed to get everyone looking beautiful! After the wedding we  had a luncheon and later that night the reception.... you can only imagine how busy we were. Friday was our last day in town and we helped clean and said our good byes.  I will be posting pictures soon !

Moving!

We sold our house!!!! Well we are under contract, which means that if everything goes well in the next couple of weeks it will be officially sold. Jake and  I are trying to find the next property that will be best for us.  Hopefully by the end of this week we will be able to know where we will be moving to and hopefully post some pictures of the new place!!!
