2 Years OLD!

2 years ago our precious little angel was born. I know I say this a lot, but, I can't believe how fast time has gone by. We love having our fun, sweet, ball of energy in our family! I took Sadie to her 2 year check and and she is doing great and has grown since her last appointment. I was a little worried because she has been so small and hadn't gained any weight for 6 months, then all of the sudden she gained 3 pounds! Sadie is now 22.2 pounds (4% for her age) and 32.5 inches tall (18% for her age). Still tall and skinny just like she has been since the day she was born.

At 2 years you are running, jumping, singing and talking non stop =0) I love that we can communicate and understand all of your wants and needs. 

Your favorite things to do are play with your baby and act like she is her real live baby, she is the best taken care of baby in town. You always let us know when your baby is hungry, or needs a diaper change, you are usually also in need of the same thing as baby =0) 

You love princesses. 

You also love to sing and make up your own songs. In fact the other day you told me you couldn't eat your lunch because you were singing. I tried to give you a bite of food and you said, "No mom I can't eat because I am singing, see... laaaalala oooooo." When you were done with your song I said, "K now you can eat a bite" you replied back, "No mom I'm not done singing, lalala oooooo lalala." You always know how to make us laugh =0) 

You are also a very smart girl that always knows what you want and you will try everything in your power to get what you are wanting. We know that you will be successful in whatever you set your mind to because you have a strong head, and will try almost anything to get it.

Another one of your favorite things to do is dress up you love being a girly girl, any time you can wear heels and a dress you love it! Your favorite shoes are mommy's shoes. 

You love to paint your nails.

You love to comb mom's hair and "style" it.

 You also enjoy helping mom with all of the chores that have to be done around the house. You will sweep, vacuum, wipe off everything in site and your most loved task is cleaning windows with windex. I think you would clean them all day if I let you.

You love to play outside and ask daily if we can go out and play with chalk or blow bubbles. You just learned how to blow bubbles yourself, it is a new found independence for you.

The one thing you do all day long is JUMP! You want to jump down the stairs, jump off the chair, jump on the couch. You are so full of positive, loving energy. 

We sure love you Sadie and love watching you grow and change every day!

Red Rocks

3 Days after surgery Jake, Sadie and I loaded up into the car and headed down to the red rock country. I was a little worried that I was being a little too ambitious, but we had scheduled this trip months in advanced and didn't have any other time to reschedule it. To my surprise I felt great! This surgery was nothing compared to my gallbladder. I honestly felt like I was ready to run, jump and workout just a few days after. I even stopped taking the pain meds after 3 days and just took ibuprofen!

While we were in St. George we celebrated our little princess' second birthday! Yes she is two! I can't believe that it has been two years already=) Since we were in the HOT country we decided to throw her party at a fun park with a nice splash pad. Sadie soaked up all the attention and had a blast! A HUGE thank you to everyone that came, Sadie sure got spoiled!

 Doing what she loves to do best... HELPING! Helping Grandma sweep the front patio.

 The weekend was full of fun crafts Thanks to Grant Jann! Sadie got to decorate new flip-flops and made a crown!

On the fourth of July, we headed out to the lazy river. Where the girls could run and play in the water and keep cool. The kids also "painted" (they had buckets of water and paint brushed) all weekend long. This is Sadie's new favorite activity now. Thanks for introducing us to a fun and clean way of keeping our artsy kido busy!

 After the lazy river we headed over to Grant Kris' house, read a couple of books and said our good byes and headed home. We had such a fun time seeing every one and catching up. It will probably be a couple more years before we see you all again!

Endometriosis

Surgery is done and the results are in..... it is endometiosis. I kinda had a hunch that this was the case, glad it is now confirmed and we know for sure. The doc said that my left tube had attached to my uterus. This is most likely from the endometriosis, the good news is that he was able to break the bond between the two and now my left tube is working again! I guess we will see how effective this surgery is in the next few months. Glad that I have a fabulous doc to work with on everything. It is amazing how comforting it is to have answers to everything and know what is really going on.

Surgery again!

Tomorrow is a big day for me... I am having surgery once again. I should be a pro when it comes to surgery by now, since Jake and I have been married I have had numerous surgeries, Tonsils removed, adenoids removed, gallbladder removed, couple of foot surgeries, and now laparoscopic exploratory surgery. WOW! Thats a long list =0) I'm not as nervous about this procedure as I was about my gallbladder. I am hoping that the doc will be able to find the answers to the issues I have been having. Part of me is sure that it is endometriosis and the other part of me thinks it might be nothing at all. 

A few months ago my doc started a series of "tests" to see what he could find out due to our infertility issue. Every test we did kept coming back "normal" so this lead to the last test I had done which is a test where they run dye though your tubes to check to make sure they are working properly. This test was done by a radiologist, he was friendly enough to share with me his findings as he did the test. I was glad I didn't have to wait for the results, waiting always makes me nervous. As he injected the dye, he told me with in minutes that my left tube was not working. 

What does it mean when you only have one working tube? Well, it decrease your chances of getting pregnant drastically. After my doc got the results on my HSG he told me that he would like to do a laparoscopy surgery to try to determine the cause of my blocked tube.  

So now tomorrow is the big day, I hope and pray that they will be able to find the answers to everything!

Chalk Art Festival 2011

Once again we went to the Chalk Art Festival! I love going and seeing how creative people can be with a sidewalk and a tray of chalk. Some of these pictures show the work in progress. Such talent!

Grandpa Hill Comes to visit

 Grandpa Hill came to visit us! Sadie sure loves when he comes into town and spoils her! Sadie knows that she gets a never ending supply of coins and kisses =0)

 We decided to try out one of the famous restaurants here in town that was featured on Diners, Drive ins and Dives. Lets just say this place was awesome! The meat was amazing! Jake wants to go back again before we move!

 Here is Sadie "storing" her iphone for future use =0) LOL I had no idea that she has seen me do this. I only put my cell phone in my bra when I don't have a pocket to put it in. Well she didn't have pockets on her dress, but she also doesn't have a bra to hold it LOL she couldn't figure out why it wouldn't stay put like moms does!!!

Reading books with Dad!

Washington

Yes, we just got back from Washington.... again.... yes =0) This year has been busy with Jess graduating and having her last senior prom.

While we were up visiting everyone, my mom agreed to watch Sadie overnight so Jake and I could have a little get away vacation of our own! This was the first time that we had left Sadie with someone overnight without one of us being with her. There has been a few times Jake has been gone without Sadie overnight, but it was my first time being away from her! It was so weird, but so nice and relaxing!

Jake and I decided to head over to the west side of the state and hit up a few fun hiking trails. Our first stop... the Ape Caves. The Ape Caves are located just south of Mt St Hellens, the passageway in these caves are the longest continuous lava tube in the United States. The whole time we were hiking this trail we were underground. Yes is was dark... pitch black to be exact, wet and muddy... so we hiked with flashlights. The hike was awesome, we got to bolder and climb over almost 20  house sized lava falls (rock piles).

That night we stayed at a beautiful extended stay in Vancouver, decided to shop a little and then head down to Multnomah Falls for another wonderful hike! This hike is one that I have started more times than I can count, but for some reason I never finished it until now! It was raining and wet while we hiked but it was so pretty to see all of the green growth and amazing waterfalls!

After our fun little get-away we headed back to Kennewick for Jessie's graduation and graduation party! I don't know how I managed to not take any photos, but I didn't. I still can't believe that Jess is graduated! She is all grown up now =0) Congrats Jess!
